Safety
We only use the highest standard, safest rock n roll beds around. Many have been in-vehicle (crash) tested or they have M1 Pull Test Certification to 76/115/EEC/2005.

We supply and fit Rusty lee ¾ and full-width rock n roll beds for your classic camper. Two of our staff cars are early baywindows and we’ve worked on a range of aircooled campers in the past, so you rest assured your bus will be in safe hands.
Type2/T25 – 3/4 width VW Campervan Rock n Roll Bed
This 3/4 width rock n roll bed is made from 20x20x2.5mm box section and all the brackets/hinges are cnc laser cut. The bed sits level with the rear engine shelf and makes up a 6-foot bed when pulled out in bed position. The frame is fully powder coated and comes with all fixings needed for assembly. It also comes with 9mm ply boards ready for trimming. This bed is easy to operate – from seat to bed mode in just a few seconds.

VW Rusty Lee rock n roll bed
T4, T5, T6
This is our 3/4 width rock n roll bed for T4/T5/T6 vans. We will also fit other makes and models, but without the VW fitting kit it becomes an in-vehicle (crash) pull tested bed.
T4/5/6 Rock n Roll Bed with Bespoke Trim – In-Vehicle (Crash) Tested
This bed is trimmed in high-quality vinyl in a bespoke pattern and colour choice, with or without piping. It’s fitted into your camper van using high tensile bolts and Rusty Lee in-vehicle tested fitting kit.
The VW Transporter rock and roll camper van bed is made from a box section and all the hinge plates are cnc laser cut. The bed sits over the wheel arch in the rear of front-engined vans and fixes through the floor with high tensile bolts and Rusty Lee’s in-vehicle tested fitting kit. If fitted in a T5/T6 this bed has been in-vehicle (crash) tested. The bed operates on heavy duty ball bearing slides, so it pulls from seat to bed position with ease. The front legs also sit 5mm higher than your floor, so you don’t get any scuff marks on your nice new floor when pulling the bed into position. The bed locks off into seat position with two heavy duty quick release spring-loaded pins. It sits on rubber buffers, so no rattling when you’re on the move. The frame comes fully powder coated and operates from seat to bed mode in just a few seconds. This bed is designed to have the upholstery attached to the frame and not made with butt hinges like others out there, so your covers won’t go flying off when you have to brake hard. The gas strut will make putting the bed back to seat effortless.

We supply and fit 2 types of Smart Rock n Roll Beds
Smart Bed
The Smart Bed has a unique “one touch closure” design feature, making the bed simple to restore to seated position. Martin’s 10-year-old daughter can do it with one hand! It’s been designed to take up the minimum space possible in the rear of the van, and incorporates seat belt mounts in the recommended position for maximum safety. The beds runs smoothly on high-quality Accuride sliders, which are 10,000 repetition tested. It is constucted from high quality steel and is fully MIG welded for maximum strength and durability. The frame is fully powder coated for a high-quality finish, offering increased durability over paint, and it has smooth aesthetically formed contoured corners, eliminating the sharp and ugly traditional square corners.
The rock and roll bed is available in both 3/4 and full width, and upholstery is an optional extra, which can be supplied in vinyl, VW Inca and leather. This is both supplied and fitted by our professional upholsterer.
Although designed specifically for the Volkswagen Transporter T4 and T5 ranges, the company also carries out bespoke design and manufacture for a variety of vehicles, so please just ask if you have specific requirements.

Smart Bed Evolution – Pull-tested Rock n Roll Bed
The new Smart Bed Evolution not only has the same ease of use as the original, it also has a reclining system to increase passenger comfort.
The Smart Bed Evolution also sailed through the pull test for 76/115/EEC M1 approval, carried out by Status, at Manchester University.
